We recognise that the online world is a fantastic tool for children’s education and their social lives. As we are living in times where the online world is forever growing, it is important that Ash Green School along with parents/carers do our best to keep children safe online.

Please find the school’s Online Safety Policy below which outlines appropriate use of the internet for both students and staff.

Students at Ash Green School use an array of social media apps these include: WhatsApp, Snapchat, Tik Tok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, You Tube, Clubhouse and Discord. Whilst these apps allow students to communicate with each other outside of school, they also bring the outside world in if not monitored correctly. To help reduce the risks associated with social media apps please find guidance and resources below:

ChildNet provides age-specific activities about online safety to do with your child at home. Childnet and NSPCC also provides tips for conversation starters, making a family agreement and reviewing parental controls along with advice on sexting, online games and video apps. The resources below will help parents and children understand the risks and keep your child safe.
